Onward Hall Progress

Work is ongoing. We are looking for funds.

June 2026 Update

Onward Hall Renovation. Yorkley residents may have recently noticed the Onward Hall sporting a new look in its padded black "duvet" outfit. Thanks to the Enovert Community Trust we have been able to start work once again on the renovation of the Onward Hall. Removal of the old tin on the western elevation revealed the extent of the degradation caused by age and effect of bearing the brunt of the weather. The builders were busy adding strengthening studs to the framework, stabilising the frame with a plyboard covering, followed by the vapour control and outer insulation layers. Hopefully soon the "sheet" supports will be added ready for the powder-coated tin to be applied. Thankyou to everyone that has been supporting our fund raising efforts at the coffee mornings, look forward to seeing you at the next one! Sat 1st Aug.

Oct 2024

Many of you that live locally may have noticed a rather large amount of scaffolding surrounding the Onward Hall on Stag Hill Yorkley in recent weeks, it has taken quite a few weeks to get it all in place, including having to drop some of the poles down through the roof of the side extension, to get a full cover in place. A1 Erections have done an amazing job to get this set up which will enable us to start renovation of the roof which will include adding new insulation and new cladding to make it weatherproof again. The cladding is on order and work will be starting soon. Let's just hope the weather improves a little to make the job easier! This is an epic undertaking for the band (and an expensive one!) But we are so excited to be back on track with phase 1 of the work after many delays, and can't wait to see it restored to its former glory. Anyone wanting to know more about the project or would like to help in any way can feel free to message us 🙂
