Coleford Festival of Brass.

We are excited to be involved in a new event that Coleford Town Council in partnership with the GBBA are running in Coleford Town Centre - the Coleford Festival of Brass. This event is intended to be a celebration of brass banding in the Forest of Dean.
Dedicated performance areas across the town - at the Clock Tower with a covered stage, one at the Baptist Church, and in the Town Council offices (just off the town centre) we hope to have a 'come and have a blow' area run by Brass Bands England. There will be trade stands and seating within the town centre road closure area.

Details of the performance times are shown to the right

West of England Bandsmens Festival (more commonly Bugle Band Contest) Outdoor contest has been held in the heart of Cornwall since 1912. Originally held at ‘Peniel’, on the northern fringe of the village, the Festival moved to its current home at Molinnis Park in 1966.
Held on the third Saturday of June each year we have more than 40 trophies steeped in history and our forward thinking committee seek to keep the Festival modern and up to date yet remain careful to respect the traditional values of this unique event.

Ironbridge Gorge Brass Band Festival brightens the Coalbrookdale summer. A landmark event in the brass band year, the Ironbridge Gorge Brass Band Festival, co-sponsored by WLT Commercial Property, remains a highlight of the Ironbridge summer calendar. This free festival is one of the best opportunities to hear music from the brass band repertoire played live and in the open air. The Festival is hosted in the beautiful historic Museum of Iron, Coalbrookdale. A unique collection of bands, ranging from competition winners and championship participants, to grass roots players, will entertain with a full performance programme during both days and a Charity Gala Concert on the Saturday evening (ticketed event: £10 per adult, U14 free with paying adult – pay on door or via website). The festival promises music and hospitality to suit all ears and tastes as well as an opportunity to spend some time with the friendly brass band community.

There is limited parking on site but recommend using the Ironbridge park and ride (Jiggers Bank, postcode TF4,3HX) which costs £1 for a return journey. The park and ride is card only, the car park will be open from 9.30am and the busses will be running on a regular schedule from 10am until 6pm on both days.
