Front Row/Bumper up Cornet Player
We are inviting applications for a Front Row Cornet player to complete our set-up.
We are a forward thinking, ambitious and friendly 1st section band led by MD Martyn Patterson who studied Euphonium, Piano and Composition under Geoffrey Witham at Huddersfield before holding the end chair at Wales' top bands including The Cory Band and Tredegar Band as well as Desford Colliery Band.
Forest of Dean Brass have a varied and interesting calendar - from performing at intimate celebrations to entertaining thousands at national events, to contesting around the country and so much more. We are fiercely proud of our heritage and have deep and strong links with our other local bands. Keeping music alive is at the heart of all we do.

We are a competitive band who enjoy socialising and play a wide variety of music. We attend contests but also like to support local events and charities.
Rehearsals take place on Monday and Thursday evenings in our bandroom on Stag Hill, Yorkley, Forest of Dean GL15 4TD.
The Forest is in easy reach of the M4 and M5 via junction 2 of M48 – Severn Bridge.
